Once Upon a Sketch...February challenge

[switching to English for this post]

Sketches, journaling and experementing with all sorts of techniques all play an important part in my scrapbooking, so what better than taking part in a challenge, which combines them all... So, here comes my contribution to the Once Upon a Sketch...February challenge! I was especially inspired by the three small round objects in the sketch, and thus decided to use three pieces of chipboard and round shapes in general, and the page sort of started building itself from there onwards.

The large red rose, if you want to see it as one, was created by misting the round piece of chipboard on the right red and "stamping" the patterned paper with the excess spray, which was left on the misting surface. Quite like the effect! The green leaves and stem were cut by me free-hand from a piece of chipboard which used to resemble a teapot...  :) There were also some fussy cutting of paper and some gesso involved.

The title, in Finnish, reads "Can today be a day of delicacies", and the journaling tells the story of how my daughter used to eat very few sweets indeed until she turned 2, but later discovered the world of chocolate, cakes etc. - which is why we have specific "days of delicacies" when sweets are allowed. The journaling theme of the month was "Totally addicted to...", so therefore the topic.
