Once Upon A...Sketch April challenge

I had the pleasure of participating in a scrapbooking event last weekend, and while there, I worked on this layout. This is my contribution for the Once Upon A...Sketch April challenge. The journaling theme of the month was "an event that changed my life...", thus the topic: the arrival of our cats and the effect they have had on our lives. The journaling - and the photos - is about how they follow each event, whether it's cleaning or re-positioning the couch, with utmost detail. They are so curious and cute!

In terms of the layout, this was a page of playing with liquid inks of different color. I painted with the liquid inks, and used them for different kinds of resist techniques as well, and then treated the page with lots of regular ink in different colors. Local scrappy friends may also notice that the theme of Paris is incorporated here, too. A friend of mine had to cancel her trip to VersionScrap in Paris due to a sudden family emergency, and because she couldn't go to Paris, we are trying to bring Paris to her. Featured on the layout are parts of a white paper and parts of washi tape, which we will all use in our layouts. Can't wait to see the same white paper and washi tape in Lehtipollo's, Riikka's and Elina's layouts someday in the future. And hope to see lots of opportunities for the scrappy friend to participate in plenty of events now that the emergency is over, and life is getting back to normal. Will try to play with liquid inks sometime soon again!
